Description
FULL VIEW PLEASE!
There is no passion, there is serenity. I just gotta let that out here, since Star Wars lines don't belong on original art.
Angel-gidget's picture of Mara as an angel inspired me to attempt to draw Luke as an angel, but I couldn't scan that drawing, so I tried to duplicate it onto my sketchbook. However, I usually don't have any luck with male figures, so I decided to go for original art.
Yay, it's done and completely original at that! I was going to import a screenie from Beast Wars for the background, but I found a few neat effects and brushes that did the same trick. I love being a student and thus having access to a lab full of comps that have Photoshop 5 days a week in addition to a Computer Graphics class. I thank my RL friends for sitting by me and giving all the tips. Originally, I wanted to do details on teh feathers, but my mouse skills did not like subtle stuff.
I think that everybody else who visits the computer lab before school now associates me with this picture.
Materials:
The original, uneditted version: [link]
mechanical pencil
sketchbook
Photoshop 7 and 9 (varies from computer to computer)
a few brushes
lots of experimentation
more effects than I can count
20 or so layers
Crits for this newb, anybody?
